Senior Annual Day at Riverside

16th October 2018: By far, the senior students of Riverside have so much to relate to and exhibit that it seems next to impossible to pack it all in half a days program. Nevertheless, truth be told, the students can do exactly that and more.

Yes, 16th October was Riversides 17th Senior Annual Day Bash. We had Mr.K.Krishna Kumar Chairman, Ambal Automobiles. as our chief guest and Dr Tony Abraham Thomas from CMC Vellore to preside over the occasion as Guest of Honour. Soon after the lamp was lit as an auspicious opening, the Principal Mr Francis Xavier had delightfully lifted the veil of suspense, as the spectators sat with bated breath.

The first stride was to welcome the honourable guests of the day followed by Prize distribution ceremony. Alongside this, the Global Citizenship Program pioneered by the school for the students to gain more ground in the real world, had also been rewarded. This program, has moved forward in leaps and bounds, only to reiterate the importance of becoming a good citizen.

Soon after, the day sprung forward with the celebration the seniors had been preparing for and looking forward to since the start of this academic year. Western and Indian music, Drama, dance and oodles of laughter came bouncing off the stage so much that the audience was enthralled beyond expectation.

The parents were in awe of the grandeur before them, they were spell bound to witness that part of their child they never thought existed. It was such an awakening for all as the day was braided with each and every students effort and contribution, right from being an MC to the very performance itself. The English Play Adventures of Tom Sawyer was a feast for the eyes. The Principals report was an audio visual presentation.

Our Chief guest, had expressed his towering appreciation of the entire days happenings. He said that the way the students glowed with confidence and skill not to mention poise, had kept him engrossed through out the program. He also stated that it was evident that these Riversiders had the ability to celebrate life with mindfulness and passion, something he hasnt seen in students from his yester years.

The merry-go-round of a day was brought to a gentle halt with the hospitable and generous words of our Managing Director Mr Kavin Kumar Kandasamy, and the heartfelt Vote of thanks by our Secondary School Coordinator  Mrs Sasikala.R

Like the buds that burst forth with life in Spring, so do our saplings at Riverside as they stand at the threshold of past experiences and an endless bountiful future. All the guests were invites for a sumptuous lunch in our refectory after program.
